Who are you, and what can AmpedUp do for you?

AmpedUp is a FERC-compliant Price Reporting Agency. Seven distinct user roles share the platform — some read indices, some contribute data, some govern the methodology. Find your role below and follow the step-by-step path to full access.

Seven roles on one platform

Which role describes you?

Roles are non-exclusive — a data provider can also subscribe; a panelist can also publish research. Each role has its own enrollment, legal agreements, and tooling.

Start here · everyone

Three steps before any role unlocks.

01

Create an account

Register with a work email. You will accept our Terms of Use and Privacy Notice at registration.

02

Path · Subscriber

Read every published index.

You want to read NatGasIQ Daily, Intraday (C1–C5), Bidweek, Forward, Duck Curve, Mexico, PNW Corridor, Pipeline Pressure, and LNG indices. Access is priced per tier.

  1. Create your account and verify your email.
  2. Apply for the Subscriber role from the enrollment page.
  3. Sign the Subscriber License Agreement (redistribution rules + citation requirements).
  4. Pick a subscription plan — see pricing for tier details.
  5. Once activated, open the Intelligence Portal from your dashboard to browse every index. Excel Add-In and API access included on Pro+ tiers.

Path · Data Provider

Contribute firm, arms-length physical transactions.

You are a marketer, LDC, producer, or utility with North American hub activity. Your trades become inputs to the NatGasIQ Daily VWAP and earn subscription credits in return.

  1. Create your account and verify your email.
  2. Apply for the Data Provider role. You’ll describe which hubs and cycles you trade.
  3. Sign the Provider Participation Agreement, the Safe Harbor Attestation (18 CFR 284.288(a)), and the Confidentiality Addendum.
  4. Admin reviews (usually 1–2 business days) and activates can_submit_trades.
  5. Drop a CSV or XLSX onto the portal drop-zone — or POST to the API. Every row runs through the 11 FERC exclusion checks, 3σ outlier detection, duplicate fingerprinting, and ICE range validation before contributing to the index.
  6. Walk away. Your original file is archived for 7 years, each row carries its Form 552 category, and the batch-result page is a receipt you can show your internal compliance team.

Path · Pipeline Operator

Contribute pressure readings.

You operate an interstate natural-gas pipeline and want to contribute pressure and linepack data to the Pipeline Pressure Intelligence program in exchange for early-access analytics.

  1. Create your account and verify your email.
  2. Apply for the Pipeline Operator role and identify the system(s) you operate.
  3. Sign the Operator Data Sharing Agreement and the Pressure Data NDA.
  4. Admin verifies your system enrollment and activates can_submit_pressure.
  5. Submit daily pressure and linepack readings through the operator portal — these feed the Pipeline Pressure Index (PPI) and flow-order risk signals.
  6. In return you receive early-access PPI dashboards, flow-order monitoring, and corridor spread analytics for your system.

Path · Certified Gas Panelist · CertiMark™ Premium NatGas

Submit certified-molecule transactions.

You trade MiQ-, EO100-, or Project Canary-certified gas and qualify for the CertiMark Premium NatGas panel. Your trades establish the certified-molecule premium over vanilla NatGasIQ Daily.

  1. Create your account and verify your email.
  2. Apply for the Certified Gas Panelist role. Identify your certification body (MiQ, EO100, Project Canary, other) and share proof of certified supply.
  3. Sign the CertiMark Panel Agreement, Safe Harbor Attestation, and the Governance Participation Terms (you consent to the 5/40/10 governance framework and the review-and-decide workflow).
  4. Admin and the methodology committee review; can_submit_certified_gas is activated.
  5. Submit certified transactions via the CertiMark portal. Each submission receives a governance salt, runs through the panel review queue (pending → accepted / excluded), and contributes to the Premium NatGas Index if accepted.

Path · D3 RIN Panelist · CMP-D3 Audit Index

Submit D3 cellulosic RIN trades.

You are an RFS obligated party or RIN aggregator trading D3 cellulosic RINs. Your trades reconcile against the EPA OTAQ weekly print and contribute to the CMP-D3 Audit Index.

  1. Create your account and verify your email.
  2. Apply for the D3 RIN Panelist role. Provide your EPA Company ID and EMTS account.
  3. Sign the CMP-D3 Panel Agreement, Safe Harbor Attestation, and the EPA Data Handling Addendum.
  4. Admin verifies your EMTS registration and activates can_submit_d3_rin.
  5. Submit D3 RIN trades through the CMP-D3 portal. Submissions run through the governance review workflow (pending → accepted / excluded) and are cross-validated against the EPA OTAQ weekly D3 RIN print.
